 Les yeux dans le monde (LYM) 2, rue Quincampoix 75 004 PARIS Tel : (+33) 1 48 04 53 52 Driven by the desire to encourage public debate on contemporary matters, the organisation « Les Yeux dans le Monde » (created under the 1901 Act) formed in 2003 organises displays which combine information and artistic expression throughout the year: providing documentaries, exhibitions and debates... encouraging words and images to join forces as often as possible. At a time when audiovisual is so prevalent, images provide space for reflection. Our project is therefore part of a wider reflection on the evocative power of images and artistic forms, and on their ability to question societies. And in return, on their ability to create links and raise political awareness. Les Yeux was formed in 2003 on the initiative of a group of friends who had graduated in audiovisual, photography and social science. Les yeux dans le monde now has around a dozen members. As well as the exhibitions and films organised by the association, each member of our group makes their own documentary films, photographic reports and sketched reports. United in the desire to explore lively relations between the artistic form and the documentary, the question of viewpoint is placed at the heart of our concerns Our «eyes in the world» never cease to catch other eyes; these glances complete and confront each other. …ever questioning. | ||
